PHerc. 332 is a rolled Herculaneum papyrus from the Biblioteca Nazionale di Napoli, carbonized during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. It was scanned at the Diamond Light Source in Oxfordshire, UK. It is the innermost part of a scroll, known as a midollo (marrow), a remnant from physical unwrapping of the larger original. Its small size enabled scanning at extremely high resolution (3.24um).
